  unreleased stuff

I, for one, don't think anything Terry and his multitude of groups have ever recorded should be left unheard or unavailable to us DAMB fans. It's kind of fun collecting all these obscure albums (bootlevel, shirley, no sense...), but it would be awefully nice to have them all collected in one nice slick package.......

Alright, sounds great!

I think there'd be enough interest - you could sell a bunch of them - and it wouldn't cost much 'cause the songs are already recorded.......

I think there should be a nice box set of live stuff with a nice DVD in it! Pleased

The Talking Heads

Oh Yes!

Posted by Mark on 09-09-2002 at20:13:

The Talking Heads were mentioned in another thread recently.

Posted by dorfsmith on 09-09-2002 at20:16:

That's because they are so cool. I listen to them at least once a week. I also watch True Stories about once a month.

Posted by Mark on 09-09-2002 at20:20:

You know, I haven't seen it. I know Stop Making Sense was released on DVD a year or two ago. I just have the CD Sand In The Vaseline.

It's the best movie of all time!!!

Posted by Mark on 09-09-2002 at20:25:

Really? Is is mainly concert footage, talking, or what?

Posted by dorfsmith on 09-09-2002 at20:30:

David Byrne wrote the movie and played the lead. It's about a small Texas town and how the people are all connected. In a word it's brilliant. It's hard to describe but it is amazing.

Posted by Mark on 09-09-2002 at20:31:

Huh. I remember seeing it at Best Buy when it came out for like $14.99 or something like that.

This should be back on topic. How about some unreleased stuff?

Posted by Scrimshaw Nick on 09-09-2002 at22:31:

  Why get back on topic?

Yeah, I like True Stories too. I like the "Wife Wanted" sign in Lewis' front yard. Only wish it was in widescreen. sigh.

Don't you hate how the average person likes pan and scan movies. They can't watch widescreen because of the black bars. When you try to explain to them that pan and scan cuts off part of the picture they just don't get it. They have to have their entire screen filled. I just don't understand how some people cannot get this.
