Mountain Dew on pop music, both CCM and mainstream!

I like pop music!
It's like bubble gum. You might not be getting much out of it, but's enjoyable for the little while it lasts!

No Fair!
Somebody's gotta be stacking the votes for Disciple...

I have voted three times. Is there any chance that we can get DA higher than P.O.D.???

And then the bubble bursts?
But I do like a dash of pop now and then too.

Well, I hope the guys get a lot of votes.
I guess the internet polling says something to them
that it doesn't say to me. Personally, I think it's a
horribly innaccurate way to judge who to book.
It has a disclaimer for people to just vote once,
but we all know thats not happening. Even if they
look at IP addresses and things like that to track
how often someone votes, identity on the internet
can be adjusted by anyone that knows how.
On top of that, I am not entirely sure the usual
Cornerstone crowd has internet access. We get a
lot of sales there from people that have not been
to the website. And a lot of people that do have
internet access who are fans might not even go
to Cornerstone. These votes don't really reflect
a true picture.
I would just like it if they used the method they
said they started with as in the Cornerstone
Anniversary DVD. Inviting or Booking artists who
represent the vision they had for the festival,
the correct message and artistic style. But, times
change I guess.

Don't mean to make ya sad...
I just hope they don't put a lot of stock in this
voting. But if they are going to, I hope the guys
get a lot of votes.

I just don't like where cornerstone is going. All those top vote getters are really bad. Where are people's musical tastes? Those are all MTV bands or clones of MTV bands
Posted by Ron E on 08-11-2004 at12:40:
They say voting counts for nothing, lets hope so. Likely its just something to keep people coming back to the Cornerstone site. We don't need gimmicks like that here, we have Polls...

Wow
Theo got 1 (one) vote.
NOT EVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HA!!!

Unfortunately, that's what the masses follow, MTV clones
Me, I look for artistic ability of the artists. Imagine that! They are artists and I'm looking for their artistic ability. Wow, that's profound!

Jtt
The big c-stone kahuna John Thompson is a big DA fan and (who knows) may possibly get on the DA board.
I emailed him (via Cornerstone) a year ago with some gripes and he actually responded to me in a very kind fashion.

Pop Musik Lyrics
Get up...
Get down...
Radio, video
Boogie with a suitcase
Your livin' in a disco
Forget about the rat race
Let's do the milkshake, sellin' like a hotcake
Try some buy some fee-fi-fo-fum
Talk about, pop musik
Talk about, pop musik
Shoobie doobie do wop
I wanna dedicate this
Pop pop shoo wop
Everybody made it
Shoobie doobie do wop
Infiltrate it
Pop pop shoo wop
Activate it
New York, London, Paris, Munich
Everybody talk about pop musik
Talk about, pop musik
Talk about, pop musik
Pop pop pop pop musik
Singing in the subway
Shuffle with a shoe shine
Fix me a molotov
I'm on the headline
Wanna be a gun slinger
Don't be a rock singer
Eenie meenie mynie moe
Tell me where you wanna go
Talk about, pop musik
Talk about, pop musik
Shoobie doobie do wop
Lyin' in the tree (?)
Pop pop shoo wop
Eenee meenie
Shoobie doobie do wop
Pop pop shoo wop
You know what I mean
Hit it...
Now you know what to say...
Talk about, pop musik
Pop pop pop pop musik
All around the world
wherever you are
dance in the street anything you like
do it in your car in the middle of the night
La la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la
Dance in the supermart
Dig it in the fastlane
Listen to the countdown
They're playin' our song again
I can't get jumping jack
I wanna hold - get back
Moonlight muzak
Knick knack patty whack
Talk about, pop musik
Talk about, pop musik
Shoobie doobie do wop
It's all around you
Pop pop shoo wop
Gonna suround you
Shoobie doobie do wop
It's all around
Pop pop shoo wop
Hit it...
New York, London, Paris, Munich
Everybody talk about pop musik
Talk about, pop musik
Talk about, pop musik
Pop pop pop pop musik
Now... listen...
