That implies there is a big DA announcement coming which will mention Lost Dogs at the same time... what is the announcement, or what is the announcement date if its too soon to actually make the announcement

definitely Shaded Pain or Grace Shaker for me. (though I might like Wakin' Up the Dead better than both, the other two just seem more powerful overall.

The first two cover a lot of styles. Americana was the word used when Scenic Routes came out, but that maybe was more referring to the lyrics, especially now that Americana is an actual style... was it back in '90? ANyway... you'll find blues, rock, folk, country, etc on the first three, after that it gets more folk/country/Americana.

But sad songs are not unique, songwriters who write "mostly" sad songs aren't unique either, I think there's more to it. I think its longing, more than sadness.

Here's a not well thought out response.
Buechner's dream includes all these characters. Buechner often writes about these characters and Terry seems to be interpreting his writings in song. In fact, Buechner has a whole book of mini biographies , the title eludes me as I sit here, that could have been the basis for these songs.
