Then I am virtuous beyond belief, truly for I say unto you, that I am alone wandering the wilderness of the unresponded request, and have awaited the arrival of mine order for many many months.

Alas, I am supposed to be thankful and patient and pretend that this is a charity and not a business for the band.

Thus endeth the diatribe, and I wait.

Sigh, okay the perspiration thing wasn't there.

I like the cover. One of the things it reminded me of was a sardine can. What could be worse than that? Just add one of the tin keys that opens a can of spam and you've got a real piece of art.

Sigh, this is just totally weird, it'd almost be worth the time to just walk the package to the post and stick it in the slot your self.

Check for Jevon's stuff, and see. I know I've sent you guys a bunch of notes trying to keep it off line, but sometimes it's easier to get you here.

It'll all work out in the wash, but it is somewhat frustrating.

There is no justice in this world. Sigh, but time is the best revenge - Songs from Pooh Corner was a fitting title. Although Pooh Songs would've been been better.

Apparently you assumed guitar / bass duties for VOX. You've stated it's not one you like to listen to. How was it working with Kenny Loggins? Vox Humana was his most underrated album. Looking through the credits I don't see your name? Was that an intentional oversight, or did artistic differences cause you to use a pseudonym?

AAAAAAACK!

Rick is the guitar player - he's not a bass player. You're thinking Tom Petersson - a great player who plays a monster 12 string which is a hell of a pig to play.

I know the feeling, been waiting for some stuff since September.

One disc was lost, oddly enough a LD cd. Then some MR stuff never showed.

International orders are iffy at times. Not dissing the boys, but man it's hard to run a charity and business.

I'll forgive one, not the other.

Thanks Guys - I know that the lost dogs single was being reshipped with some MR stuff, but it's never arrived.

I know you've had issues sending internationally. Fubars like this are unfortunate.

Hmmm, I think the banos should regroup and plug in for this one.

I may even buy new bass strings.

That's a shame. If only Janet and co could snag back the masters from Chris and the HSH label.

Want to talk about a travesty in the re-issue department. My biggest horror show ever was the quality of Mark's re-issues. Absolutely dreadful.

finally got this yesterday.

I agree that they are nice songs. Is it just me, or are more and more of Terry's acoustic songs sounding more and more alike? The change ups, and progressions are almost interchangeable. The writing is still top shelf. You can really appreciate the musical contributions of Ed, Greg, and Tim.

I'm not being mean, it's just that things are starting to blur.

I'm struggling with renewing. 30 bucks Canadian, for a handful of songs is steep. I really hope JT revisits the "fan" stuff for this year. I know that most of the core fans will stick it out, but there does need to be a certain amount of accountability from management. Don't oversell and underdeliver.

Hopefully there'll be a compelling reason to sign up again. The two snapshop discs are great momentoes (I wish there was a spell checker...) but they didn't come cheap.

When viewed as a thanks for the donation to the band it's easier to absorb - but that's not how it was positioned.

(Ah crap, now my extensive background in customer behaviour, loyalty management, corporate ethics and business marketing are sneaking out. It's all in managing customer expectations boys.)

Sigh.

It would be nice if Greg, Tim and Ed came by to banter. I saw a very funny grammy note from Tim on the Choir board. Greg knows how to use a 'puter. It'd be fun to talk musical weirdness with him.

Sigh, sigh.

Once in a while I stop by David Baerwald's site, and he sits in there regularly and argues and banters. I'd have to say he's a pretty successful writer, and he comes down from the mountain once in a while.

Sigh, sigh, sigh.

Heck, the good doctor posts to his own site.

Sigh sigh sigh sigh.

Although if the guys posted here, we'd probably swarm them.

Sometimes small market bands just don't have time to associate with their fans. After all, why should they sit in uncomfortable chairs after a concert and chat to people and shake hands, exchange pleasantries, and even (gasp) sign graven images on their wares? It must feel like they're selling their souls.

It would be out of character for such "little" BIG stars to make themselves appear human to their "fans." Distance is required to maintain the appearance of "better than youness."

So I for one am glad that DA is behaving like a big corporate machine. In fact I think what's really happened is that JT is sitting on the disc, not wanting to offend and depress his charges. Wait a sec, think with me on this one. An artists' songs are like his children (even the ugly ones) - and how would you feel if someone took your kids dressed them up in stupid clothes, took pictures of them - shared them around, and then made a photo album of these pictures and wanted you to go "ooh" and "aah" at the spoiled images of those things you hold so dear?

To go even further, I think it is a lucky thing that word did not come down from on high asking the Odourori to ban the IPs of the participants and once and for all make DA a holy and God fearing MB that other Christian artists could look to as a beacon on Godliness.

So as long as there's silence, we can rest easy knowing that we are still able to long from afar, and that the unattainable are still so very far away - so very far away.
