To make the list complete we need someone whose last name starts with U and another who starts with Z and we'd have the whole alphabet.

Marty wants to hear what you think. Thats what this board is for.

I've had a chance to listen to them with the speakers turned up load (while no one else was at work) and I liked them.

Given the weather recently every drink I serve will be a cold one. We are approaching winter and I have a question....What ever happened to theis Global Warming thing? Becasue we didn't have summer and now Winter has hit early.
Anyway I'm away this weekend so feel free to drop by, the spare key is under the mat and the cold ones are in the fridge.

It's a bit of a running joke.
On the Cassette of the Berry Vest of the Swirling Eddies and on mp3.com there is Terry reading from a letter from a "Fan" from Dallas who rates all Terrys work on a scale of f to a+
The running joke is that when ever anyone says anything counter to the general feeling of the board we make some sort of reference to the wacky fan letter.
It's usually not meant as an insult just a bit of harmless leg pulling.

Sunday is The Day set aside for Church, not concerts. I'm not familiar With Dr. Taylor. Is He related to Terry Taylor?
Ü
|
They are the same person.
Terry brought out an album that was a mix of demos, re-mixs, rarities. The songs were interspersed with a fake "telethon" He was saterizing the Tele-vangelists who are only after your money.
It was called Dr Edward Daniel Taylor's Miracle Faith Telethon.
Edward = Swirling Eddies
Daniel = DA
Taylor = TST

It has been there for about 2 years. I have been slowly saving up to the point where I could afford the $NZ125 ($US50)
They may have Let's Spin - I think.

I just got the CD of this today. I had an illegal cassette copy but now I have a nice crisp legal CD.
Ahhh.
Love ghost riders. I sing it at work and people look at me saying "But you hate country?" and I say "I'm singing the alt-rock version." Then my workmates tell me with singing like mine I should give up my day job.
I have an idea for Telethon II. The wacky fan letter has only appeared on mp3.com and the cassette of Berry Vest - why not put it on Telethon II?

You know the old joke. A guy is feeling down so he (seeking guidance from the Lord) opens his bible and sticks his finger on a verse. It reads:
"Judas went out and hung himself..."
So he shakes his head and thinks, nah, that ain't it! And opens to another place and sticks his finger on a verse, and that one says:
"Go and do thou likewise..."
(A bad day for that guy, I must say...)
|
Okay, the guy thinks, third time's the charm. He opens his Bible to yet another place, sticks his finger there, and reads, "And what thou doest, doest quickly."
But as for using the Bible as a Ouiji board, I think the best example of that is the whole "Bible Code" nonsense.
|
Of course one must remember St Augustine used the Bible as a wiji board struck the right verse and was converted.
Whose to say God can't use it that way? Don't ya trust him enough?
(No I wouldn't use it that way either - too scared)
In the Adrian Plass sacred diary series one of the characters is certain God wants him to be a misisonary in the middle East 'cos every time he opens his Bbile it talks about the area.
