Subject wise, I think Mall fits Doppelganger, but musically I guess not.

I live in Ontario, there only seem to be a couple of us, I was going to say west of Alberta, but now I'll say west of Saskatchewan!

Moby's doing a whole throwback 80's dance/house album, if that's your thing, I'm certainly thinking of getting it, at least for my wife, if not me!

Hi colorblind, where are you from in Canada, thanks for blowing a fresh breeze of DA talk back in here!

As far as I'm concerned, anything from Doppelganger along with William Blake and Sanctuary from Vox Humana are my favourites.

Let me say this, the aggressors have been aggressive here, in PMs, in emails, snide comments/signatures and other boards for quite a while now. That definately is a one sided aggression, we have not acted in kind. The worst thing we have done, is respond and when that didn't work block the aggression for a period.

From our perspective we have not taken part in the attacks, here there or in private. I personally have even gone to their other board in person and asked that anyone that had a problem with us come to us and we would work it out. I had one response from someone who stated at the beginning of their email they didn't really have any intention of working anything out. They claimed to have been trembling with hatred towards us.

This feeling is again one sided. I personally don't know the aggressors, and beyond their attacks I have nothing against them. If they were to let go of their spitefulness and hatred towards us, there would be no issue.

It is impossible to work things out with someone who wants to keep hostility going. In fact, that is the issue itself, they want to be hostile towards my brother and I. As long as they feel this way, there is nothing my brother and I can do to change anything.

And to be Perfectly Frank, thats all the song "Medley Of Our Hit" is saying, "...stop being so nasty."

if that is currently the situation, I'm sorry that it came to that point. I think that the responsibility lies with someone other than you though. I think someone else needs to reach out, someone who publicly rubbed people the wrong way and, at least publicly, has not acknowledged that he has offended and intentionally or not, caused further division. I think others need to publicly apologize for their part in stirring pots and being aggressive and perhaps complaining in an unfair/un Christlike fashion, not turning the other cheek, etc.

With this, I quit, for about the fifth time Smile , and will go back to foolish posting on the shameless thread. I'm more than willing to privately discuss in pm's but likely I am not accomplishing anything here, so I'll drop this again.

I think the whole "new world order" stuff was great, very topical at the time and today, and had lots of great thought provoking stuff. I like Father Explains and Amorous Man, mostly because they are the story of my life, er , no, cause they are great, I also like Kalhoun, the title song that is.

I think I'm gonna have to side with backs on this one, and I don't even understand what he's saying.

I just self edited, two times I wrote a chapter and a half and both times I deleted. Is it worth a pm Jason, or is this going to end when the "aggressors" stop, end of story?

So back to my original point, to have peace and reconciliation both sides have to want it. As it is now, one side does not.

Side A wants peace all along, Side B wants the 'freedom' to attack side A without responses from side A. Side B is not going to get what it wants.

Okay, all I'm sayin' is "C" doesn't necessarily c it that way, it looks more to c that both sides are circling each other, that neither side is sitting at the negotiating table, and so we c an opportunity to pass the pipe and naively step in and get cuffed... okay, so far no cuffing, but hey, I'll duck on out of here and all can resume their assumptions about the whole alphabet from a to c.

I'd suggest that spicy is as good as salty, and so if we add the spices of humility and forgiveness to the soup, it should be great!

when all's resolved, bobd will just be a good joke. for now, it may seem like salt to some and like the only chance to voice displeasure for others.

So, we can have "salty displeasure soup", or Boston clam chowder... I'm all for the latter.

Maybe each side needs to walk around the table and pull the chair out for each other so everyone can get back to talking about "Cardboard Box"

You also have to know that someone wants to sit down with you and I'm not sure either side of the table even know that the soup is on.

because, I think, at this state, if someone took one step to the left and someone took one step to the right, they could sit down at the table and enjoy some soup together!

Soup's on, who's hungry?

what happens to the ingredients in the pot? some evaporate, but others still exist. To extend the metaphor, ignoring the ingredients make them invisible to some, but when does someone say, hey, we're wrecking the soup, lets add more Worcester sauce!

So you should acknowledge every single person who is offended by anything you've ever done?

But really, I don't care. At the risk of really ticking everyone off on all sides of this, are we really going to dredge all this crap up again? For what benefit? Red Face Roll Eyes

I think I would at least acknowledge that I offended them and try to settle. (Though I'm not in the public eye and likely to offend a cast of thousands.) I don't see what's wrong with saying, "I'm sorry for offending you, I certainly wasn't trying to do that."
