If you do figure it out, be sure to post it here for the rest of us! Some of us aren't as good at figuring this stuff out as others.....

The version of "Bad Experience with the CIA" that Terry and crew did last summer was far superior to the album version. Would like to get a version of that one somewhere.

Since I couldn't find "Fearful Symmetry" anywhere else, I bought it on iTunes. Would much rather have had the physical CD, but beggars can't be choosers!

While I, too, really like the first two albums over "Zoom Daddy", I think "Midget" is in a class all by itself. It's more of a straight-ahead rock record. A "serious" one, at that. I'd have to say it's one of my favorites of Terry's albums. Worth getting, in any event!

You know, Motorcycle is STILL my favorite DA album. I know everyone says that Darn Floor is their best, but I just love the arrangements on Motor. For the same reason, I think Mister Buechener's Dream is a classic. The depth of the songs amazes me. So many layers of beautiful sound...

Ain't it great that this band can be so...different?

Wes, do you like "Nightmare at the Elks Lodge"? Or is it just me?

Wow, Wes, I'd say that "Zoom Daddy" is my least favorite of the Swirlers. But that's like saying that "Songs of the Heart" is my least favorite DA album. It's still heads and shoulders above most everything else.

Wonder why that album is down on my list? Maybe it's because of songs like "Nightmare at the Elk's Lodge" which is probably the ONLY Taylor song I will actually skip.

You GOTTA get the new Swirling Eddies and Lost Dogs. Both are among the best of those bands. In the case of the SEs, I'd tend to say it is the best.

YES! My daughter and I were comparing him to Freddie Mercury! What a voice.

And as for a band staying in a home instead of a hotel....I know it may be awkward for them, and certainly not very "rock like", but for the hosts, it is a fan's dream. Getting to spend some one-on-one time with your favorite artists is awesome. Afterwards, the band or artist isn't just another place to spend your money on the CDs or shows, but a connection that can't be purchased. I realize that there are fans who carry it too far, but for most of us, it's a delight and a memory we wouldn't trade.

From your website, this looks like a great place! How about farming one out down here in the Houston area? Speaking of Downhere....I have been real impressed with what I've heard from this band.

Congrats on getting the Dogs booked. Wish I could be there.

Right you are. I try to put their music out there as much as possible.

I've been going to this local open mic where I do a lot of Terry's songs.

We played "One More Time" at my father-in-law's funeral. I wish I could have played it live, but I didn't really feel it was appropriate to do a "performance" at such an event. Besides, I couldn't have had the beautiful string section that way!

You can't go wrong with any of them. BUT....

I like the first two because they are so atmospheric and personal. So, get "Knowledge and Innocence", "Briefing for the Ascent", then get "Avacado Faultine". It has a very "Lost Dogs" feel to it. Then I'd get "John Wayne".

But you need 'em all....
