SEEE SEEEEEE, and I'll bet you a whole heffer that if you asked him what kind of undies he likes he wouldn't say "Frilly", oh no - he'd say "Lacey" which is about all the proof I need. Send him to Texas and let old George pull the switch.

You can be in denial all you want, but I know that you know deep down, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down deep that you are indeed the doppleganger (there, now this is DA related, and therefore on topic)

I was going to ask Wes about the Healy song. Here's where things ger unfair, I'll not pick on Jimsonweed or Dorf, but I'll step out and go "what?" to Brian's song. Wes, why the muddy mix, and how come you buried the vocals in the mix? It was a good version, and typical of Brian's better moments.
There's a story in how you hooked up, and somehow I think it involved Theo in there somewhere ...
As to that "review" by that tall fellow, it wasn't as easy as he let on about getting on the album ... I had one song, only one. Okay, so it was already taken by another band ... but gee whiz.
By the way, the official release is stronger overall by a smidgeon than the pre-effort, and Brian's song fits in really well with the opening punches.

Theres more to this story. The least of which was, it wasn't
even a DA song. Sorry for the interuption. |
Hoooooo! Don't go getting all clever but throwing out facts!
Watching the Chicks Roll in' could have been a big DA hit.

Annoying! Look, I had to struggle to attain that alternate tuning. Even Mike, a master at weird tunings would be hard pressed to do better with what I came up with - I'm pretty sure that it's unique.
And, also, didn't you notice how I weaved in the lust at the end. Annoying? Sure, in the same way Bjork, or Yoko is, but hey - who has the last laugh?
Ha ha ha.

I would like to thank Dorf for having the courage to recognize innovative artists, and giving me a chance to show my stuff on his tribute, since I was so deliberately slightled by BIG DORK. Not since David Edwards was so unceremoneously dropped from the DA tribute has an artist suffered so much for so little.
PS Besides, the banos, my arch enemies are on that disc, and Dano kept bugging me about how good he thought his solo was. I thought it was out of tune.

In a nutshell, AAR is short for Andy's Angel's Records. Andy, Theo's son had CF, and sadly passed away not that long ago (a couple of years, but ut seems like the other day). There was a project produced by Terry Taylor called Come as a Child that featured songs by a number of well known artists. DA, Mike Roe, Derri Doughboyerty, Lost Dogs, Rikki Michelle, etc. This past summer Theo released a follow-up where his music was sung by Taylor, Roe, Elbel and others. It's pretty good as well.
There have been two concerts over the last couple of Christmas seasons where Mike and Terry pretend they're the Smothers Brothers and put on a wildly entertaining evening of songs and banter. Theo, who also sings and plays will often open the show for his musical mentors.
The Bellingham show is special to Theo for good reason.

People here often confuse me with Jevon from banophernalia. Long story, but I once thought I'd be able to float an alias and not have people recognize me.
People (no pun) like to pick on the guy because of the perceived problems associated with HD. Whatever. I still like the guy, even with the 300 billion repackaged and rebalanced and different coloured covers.
Larry can rest on his laurels. He was pretty bloody good in his day.
(didn't mean to blow your cover. Heh heh)

Oh my stars and garters! It's Myron! Dude, welcome to the zoo. Slummin here on the DA board?
For those who don't know, Myron is probably one of Canada's nearly most knowledgeable guys on Larry Norman. Didn't you win like a shopping spree at Larry's site.
Glad to see you here.
And, uh - yeah - Mick is larger than life.

Hmm, if it's his schtick, then I'll cut him some slack - I've been curious about his stuff.
If you like Jamie's stuff, his new solo album and the London Calling stuff is really very good.

I have, but I often find Mick to be somewhat arrogant. Jamie is always a gentleman.
Still I haven't heard it so I'll shut my yap. Glad to hear some likes what the guy is doing.
