I feel extremely lucky to have seen Mike here in Houston last week. But to get to see Terry? That would be fantastic. After all, he is my favorite Dog...

I'll be at the Houston show, and as luck will have it...I'll be in Dallas while that show is going on. So I may get to see both of them. Since I didn't get to see the Dogs on their Route 66 tour, this rocks!!

How big was the crowd? What was the feeling of the crowd? Curious, or were they pretty much fans?

Well, I sat down with "Be My Hiding Place" in the key of C, and doped out the chords. I suppose that necessity is the mother of invention, but in my case, impatience is the mother of "gettin' it done"!

Any chord charts that you could supply would be great. I'm trying to expose more people to these songs, and it would be great if I could play 'em.

Do you want to email them or post them here?

Y'see, telling me it's in the key of C doesn't help...I need chords. I might be able to dope it out, but I wouldn't count on it!

Jiminy...you said you did "Be My Hiding Place" and "Vegas Story" at church. Do you have the chords? If so, can you post 'em??

Thanks

Since we're talking covers...what's up with the John Wayne cover? I mean, who are these people? Is this just a piece of clip art, or are the man and woman someone of significance? I always wondered about this!

I realize that the airplane pertains to the John Wayne airport, I get that. It's the couple that throw me off....

Lots of great album covers, with Motorcycle probably being my favorite, BUT I have a great love for the Shotgun Angel cover!! Fantastic truck, and such a great graphic idea of the music inside.

Also like Horrendous Disc, mainly because we get a photo of the band that isn't weirdly out of focus...

I love all the LD albums, it's hard to pick a favorite. But if I HAD to, I'd go with...

Gift Horse.

But I REALLY like all the others!!!!

I first heard the band at a concert in '78 or so. I was so taken with the band that I bought two albums that were for sale at the concert. Shotgun Angel and Horrendous Disc.

I just downloaded the show and listened to it. While I'm glad Mike and Terry got the airtime, it was like the amateur hour. They hardly got any info out due to the host's cell phone ringing, his blabbering about his deceased wife, and an attitude of "not really caring who these guys are".

Too bad. They played a little of "Bad Indigestion", and it probably wasn't the best song to highlight, but I've always liked it, and they do play it live.

All in all, it was almost a waste of their time. But hey, any publicity is good. I just hope more than 5 people were listening!

Uh. Uh. Uh. He's gotta stop that!

Just got "All Day Sing and Dinner on the Ground", so that's been in rotation here lately. Some catchy stuff. Seems like leftovers from some other sessions, though.

"I thought I was buying a house to live in it?"

Well, there you go again. (Quoting Ronny Reagan there...)

It's NOT always about YOU!!! "It's the economy, stupid." (Quoting another prez...)

Look at it this way...you're not buying a house to have children. You're buying a house to stimulate the economy!

Richie...How long has it been since you worked the Magnolia area? A buddy of mine works for Union Pacific, but I'm not sure what yard he's out of.

I haven't always lived in Magnolia. I've been all over the north Houston area. Spring, Willis, Tomball, and now Magnolia. One step ahead of the repo man....

When I bought the Ipod I figured I'd NEVER need the 30 Gig capacity, but right now I'm at about 60% full. I don't have any video or anything on it either. Do have some photos, but just a few.

Of course, there are some songs I'll skip as I go through the day. Might not be in the mood for something, but in general, I listen to whatever comes on. I'm one of those guys who listens to entire albums, not just the "hit". That way, I get to where I like just about every song on any given album.

I will admit right now that I almost ALWAYS will skip "Nightmare at the Elks Lodge" on Zoom Daddy. Just don't like it...
