I was at youth group on sunday and I'm used to being hassled about this Terry Taylor fellow the've never heard of.
Then one of them mentions this incredable computer game. One of the other leaders has also played it and they have this big discussion about it.
Going by the description I knew it was Neverhood.
I asked what they thought of the music. They loved it - and raved about it for a while.
That was when I informed them of whose skill they were raving about.
I love doing that to people.

The hey day of the DADL was when we actually did talk about the lyrics.
More of a "gee i like this new album - I don't - yes you do you just don't know it yeat have a root beer and chill out." sort of place now.

I would be a little warey of the DA hits disk. While it is good (as is all things TST related - hey I bought the disk of him burping and farting) but...
As nearly every DA cd explores a different style the hits disk seems a little disjointed and jarring at times as the songs styles change.
however the answer is buy all you can - expect things to be intelligent, silly, different and heartfelt - but don't expect each disk to be a clone of any other.

OK I just found that the second pair of eyes is a link to the video.

OK in just over a weeks time I get to do my first full sermon at church.
It's going to be on the book of Jude. I'm going to look at Judes problem (people coming into the church andturning christians from lives of attempting holyness to sin and licentiousness and to reject Jesus as our Only Sovereign and Lord)and how we have the same problem.
Then I'll look at Judes solution keeping strong in our faith (ie knowing what we beleive and why) praying in the Spirit and supporting one another. And intervening with those who are wavering.
I want to get into the habit of sneaking in some TST lyrics in all my sermons.
Can anyone think of any?
