An interesting read, though I think you posted this before didn't you? Or maybe that was somewhere else? I too grew up Brethren and struggle with the good and bad of that tradition. Even today I wonder where I fit in because of that...a lot like your read here, though I'm far from "punk"

I saw your name on a video from a guy doing interviews with you, I guess, about metal music from a few years ago...this was just last week I saw the video though, in a church library where I was doing some training....care to comment! I forget the guy's name, but he used to play the big rooms too...

We're going to be pushing it as hard as we can. So far, the media reviews have been great. |
Is there a particular song we should push? I assume one song should create buzz over and above, the album as a whole? Is there a strategy? I know nothing about marketing a cd. Did you ever hear back from the radio station I sent info on? Is it available to listen to online besides at Spotify? Even a preview?

Thanks, Joel! Much appreciated. I was personally blessed this past Sunday, people were so receptive, so needy, so...I'm not sure, but I got two hugs and I've never had one before after preaching! I'm preaching somewhere else this weekend too, but not sure if Terry's gonna make it in or not yet...not exactly prepared yet!

I used a couple of quotes from Dig Here this morning when I had to preach at my local church. I was talking about the inevitability of suffering and the hope still available. I literally cried while reading the lyrics to Jesus Wept today...awkward, but fitting I'm not ashamed to say.

It is only right that it worked out this way, its part of the legend of HD/Alarma.

Maybe its introducing the theme...here's what you're about to experience...? I am wondering if its a "firm" theory of album composition for Terry et al, or if its a coincidence, or if I'm just way out to lunch as I usually am...

I have actually wondered about opening song selection for a while on the Lost Dogs specifically. I also thought it applied here. I don't mind, I just wonder why they seem to start with an "Introduction" song so many times, like an old musical. It was that way on Scenic Routes and continued through many of the following releases where the sound of the first one was a pause before the storm that was coming. There must be a strategy to it.
