What is DA's best opening track? |
|
What do you think is DA's best opening track for one of their projects?
I'm thinking their rockified Frankie Valli number, "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You", on Songs of the Heart, makes for quite a solid opening song.

Return of the Beat Menace...
Feeling the heat, hell at your feet
Don't even speak of the beat menace
Something to take away your innocence
Someone to blame it on
Helps you to defeat
Dancing in the street
Come to lay you low, we've come to vex you

It ain't, like, a DA song, but like, you know, it could've been and since Terry you know, like, sings it we think it could like count, especially 'cause like it's really heavy and cool and we can, like, totally identify with it and stuff, because it ain't easy, like, feeding the rock animal and keeping that mystery Babylon of fans satisfied, duuuuuudes, let me, like, tell you, and so, like we think it's a really cool song, and it's, like, Writer's Block.

I'd have to say Central Theme, just because it changed the band's direction forever.

I'm gonna have to say, "This is the One" from MBD...just to be different!
Actually, I like the verse:
"We needn't bother
To ask if the ships coming in
It's safe in the harbour my friend."
I really dig this line!

I agree, "This is the One" is quite an enjoyable and ineresting kickoff tune. I was going back and forth betewen that and "Can't Take My Eyes Off You". It is quite awesome, I'd say.
