  That thar tar!

Mark:
"The tar is terrible on the beach and in the water. You have to be careful where you walk. It is very hard to get off your feet. I often wear shoes or special shoes made for the water to keep my feet clean. Is there tar in the water on the west coast?"

Nope...not around here...Smile

That's one good thing...but the water's too cold to swim in...Frown

The tar has got to be some of the worst stuff known to man. It sticks to everything. Maybe it should be used for superglue. I've heard some say that it comes from oil spills, but I'm not sure if that's true.

They must be pulling (or leakin') some serious oil out there in the gulf...

I don't remember it being so bad when I was a child.

Yeah, we used to go to the beach all the time when I was a kid, and I don't remember that either...all I remember is sandspurs, hot white sand and sea gulls.

The sand is very hot. We do have lots of seagulls. They will eat just about anything. I swear that even in town, you could throw a piece of bread up in the air, and a seagull will come out of nowhere, swoop down, and eat it.

so, you can't throw your bread upon the waters!?

Those DAMB gulls are instruments of BLZBUBB!!!!!

We've had plenty of water here the past month. It has probably rained 18 inches in the past month. It has flooded. Then we had that tornado that killed a professor at one of the colleges. I saw the tornado out my window at work. We almost had rain for 40 days and 40 nights.
