  I've been away...

Hey folks!!

In case anyones been a wonderin'....

My computer was fried last week in a storm , so until I get the insurance check to get my new one , I hooked up my vintage Pentium II.

I just thought I would say that so no one thought I got disgruntled and left the Damb...

You make me want to turn mine off. The lights have gone out three times today and the lightening is crazy

Thanks all..!
Technology sort of glows with warmth when you get dependent on it.
One thing that is for certain though , don't ever get rid of your old PCs..

Yup. Depending on computers is just not completely practical. Our friends in New Orleans recently lost everything due to a computer crash ~ all their financial information (fortunately they had backed it all up to a month before the crash), all e-mail addresses, all snail mail addresses and phone numbers (including ours), etc. She had to call information and then had some glitch due to the name of the city we live in and they finally gave her a number and she tried it hoping it was the right one. Glad she got in touch with us.
