  online ordering

I saw on the off topic board, the issue of ordering da/77 music. My experience has been great going straight to the Townsends. I am going to get the music faster and cheaper than waiting for the blasted distribution system of Christian bookstores.

My Paste music came in a timely fashion. I like ordering straight from the web sites because it is easier and cheaper than going to the stores. I avoid Christian bookstores nowadays due to the pure crap that they have for sale. When I used to ask for Daniel Amos or 77s new releases I either got a puzzled look or else stinkeye.

You can't find Kierkegaard at Berean. Only Terry's relative would hook me up with Terry stuff when I would go to the Berean in San Jose. (I forget if she was his mother-in-law or aunt)She was the one who pointed out that he contributed to Mike Knott's Alternative Worship and Browbeat. Nowadays, I find more stuff online.

My only complaint is that there is a greater than 50% chance that the jewel case will be cracked or shattered if the order is online. Musicforce.com and RefugeStore.com pack their stuff the best. Other vendors should take note to make sure that stuff isn't shattered.

The WEWH and MBD shirts did protect the new Terry solo and the Spittle DVD quite well. Perhaps all future orders should be protected with a free T-shirt.

Free t-shirts as packing material. What an idea!

  Don't Get Me Wrong--

I really don't mind ordering from the websites, and do prefer to give my money to the websites (DA, 77's, etc.) rather than a bookstore...my only complaint is me! I'm so darned impatient and i hate to wait for music. I want it immediately. If i have to wait a week, ok...but i hate waiting. There's no way these sites can help that, they get the ROCK to us as fast as they possibly can. I'm just too impatient.

In the words of the immortal Dee Snider:

"I Wanna Rock!" Cool

I hate to wait too. Luckily most of the places I order from are fairly quick. Also, many stores don't carry these items anyway and you'd have to special order them.

It seems funny to be an Eskimo in South Texas.

Woah! I'm no longer an Eskimo. I guess I spoke too soon.

Yeah, I know the bands appreciate you guys ordering from their sites. It REALLY helps in getting new CDs, and reissues out. The Amount of Proffit that goes right to the band is it's highest here, or at their concerts.

We've only had maybe 2 complaints about cracked cases,
so if this is happening a lot we need to know.
Maybe we can buy in bulk a different packing material,
small CD boxes, or? What does MusicForce use?

And lastly, we do try and get out as many orders as
posible as fast as possible. But, I do have to have a full time job as well. And some times there are issues
beyond our control, especially when you have to rely
on other people (manufacturers, labels, distributors).
We wish we could quit our day jobs and focus full time on this stuff but we can't yet. maybe one day Smile

Just don't let our unfortunate delays or whatever stop you
guys from supporting the band. Thats why we do what we do.
We all want to see these bands put all their old back catalog in print and release new DA, Swirling Eddies, Lost
Dogs, etc albums in the highest quality possible.
Thats what its all about.
