Vintage Gene Eugene Audio Files (and others, too!)
All this talk of Gene and Adam Again spurred me on to do something that I should've done years ago. I've been sitting on some archived interviews and radio related stuff for a long time that, to my knowledge, is pretty rare and obscure. Back in the day, I participated in a local radio show that featured alternative bands from the Christian genre. We would go to Cornerstone and interview anybody who'd give us the time of day, attend press conferences and what not, and generally try to be a nuisance. I dug out some tapes tonight, and digitized some stuff that you guys might get a kick out of. I'll present these items in chronological order.
FIRST, THOUGH, A VERY IMPORTANT NOTE
These files will be up for a limited time, as I am now severely over my file space limit. If you want the Gene stuff for your AA site, BD, please feel free to host them (I think I offered this stuff to you a few years ago...and then forgot). In order to properly download them to your PC, *right click* on the link(s) and choose the "save target as" option. Enjoy...
This group below are quick radio ID's that I got at C-Stone 1990
Camarillo Eddie
Terry Taylor
Mike Roe 1
Mike Roe 2
Gene Eugene 1
Gene Eugene 2
A couple years later, my radio partner, Joel Hogan, took the tape recorder to the 1992 festival. I've had this tape in my possession for over a dozen years and until tonight had NEVER listened to it. Side one begins with a couple radio IDs from members of Mad At The World, and then fills up the next 30 minutes with the press conference from The 77's. I might get around to digitizing that someday, but I opted to do the 24-min press conference on the other side of the tape instead...(broken down to four parts)
Adam Again Part 1
Adam Again Part 2
Adam Again Part 3
Adam Again Part 4
The following year, I returned to C-Stone armed with a portable DAT recorder and romped around all over the grounds talking to everyone. Gene wasn't performing, but was in attendance to hang with his compadres. I accosted him at a food vendor and he humoured me with 3 minutes of his time. I know Bob Costas and I am no Bob Costas...
Gene Eugene C-Stone 93
And there you go. I've been meaning to do this for quite some time, and suppose it's better late than never. If you use these elsewhere, please accredit them to your's truly. Have fun!

how do you save them as a file on yer PC
I cant find anything like "save as" or target when I right click-

If you have a Mac, Jiminy, I believe you have to do something else...??? If you have regular PC, you do as instructed above (right click, save target/link as, etc). I'm not extremely tech savvy, so there may be something I'm overlooking.

I had to right click on the page itself and check all the boxes on the propertis for the quicktime player, though now I can't do that for subsequent pages to make them work.

I've downloaded, but not had time to listen yet.

The sound quality is way "bootleg" but there will be no doubt to the status of Mike Roe as
Rock-N-Roll God
