Are there any sound clips on the web for this recording?

I still haven't ordered that one. Have to get all the "limited" stuff first.

"Making God Smile" was a limited release for pre-orders with a second disc with the Lost Dogs track. I think the one in the stores will just be one disk. Right?

You may still be able to get it at
www.pastemusic.com or even Silent Planet Records. I'm just typing the links now I haven't checked lately to see if they still have any.

Yeah, I've seen the one disc at both Borders & Best Buy, but the double disc has to be ordered, I think.

I checked
www.pastemusic.com and the double disc was still listed.

WAY behind the curve here, but...
I just got the double from pastemusic last week (among other things -- for $17.98, I believe), and I think it's groovy. Not that I'm a big fan of his, but I'll take Stonehill's cover of "Love and Mercy" over anything else he's ever done (at least on the 3 CDs *I* have) -- just gorgeous.
And despite all DADLing to the contrary, I rather like Terry's take on "Vegetables" -- the goofiness nicely breaks up the inevitable "more earnest than thou" altfolk clouds that would otherwise threaten to gather around this thing.
Elsewhere: The Aaron Sprinkle track lives up its billing; Keaggy uses his artistic cajones for "Good Vibrations" and lives to tell the tale; Altizer's take on "Surf's Up" is just tremendous; and I may even pardon Jason Harrod for being such a poop after hearing his two tracks here.
Mind you, *I* plan on boiling it down to a single CD (losing Sixpence Nonetheless Pretentious, Kate Campbell, and everything after Kate Miner & before H&F's "Brian Wilson's Room" on Disk 2), but I'm glad the choice is MINE...

I thought Monty had just started this thread! But it's just an "oldie" I forgot about!
