well today is a good day... i managed to eat my lunch at my desk including oversized tomato wedgies, and not leave tomato slime on my chin or shirt... tomorrow who knows?

i also greatly anticipated meeting other nefarious members of the DAMB on thursday as terrifying as that may be, rats

there's a guy with a souped up shopping cart in the back alley there who will take a group photo for a quarter and a case of windex... probably should use a disposable camera

you weren't kidding about the cheap seats

standing room only - out the door and on the front sidewalk! The place was packed so tightly that you could barely turn around let alone mingle about.

Great show from DA and DAS and the crowd was loving every minute of the show... well except the being too crowded part. The stage was so small but they made the best of it and crammed all together.

The live show is MUCH better than all the videos I've seen posted on youtube... I haven't seen any that capture the energy the boys had on stage. If you can get to either of the next two shows GO! You will not be sorry.

856 miles later and now at home... it was a hoot! absolutely agree on the difference between the live show and the videos posted before it. suspect the energy was a reflection of the crowd's enthusiasm. uncle T was grinning ear to ear toward the end, i really think he was surprised.
at one point he did remark he was not expecting the turn out or support in a pizza bar in pomona!!

and i'm convinced Jerry fired up his licks another level on love #19... he was cooking with nitro and even Terry turned around to take a look

DAS had a hard time with the sound and may not have had enough sound check... clearly a talented bunch as was the lady troubadour.

but what set DA apart to begin was the solid work of Paul and Ed, they blew off the doors on the first song and kept it that way... but never to the point of distraction or loss of clarity, just pure fun.

the whole band hit their marks, and that with a lousy PA... vocals too soft and no mics or monitors for the instruments! wakachiwaka and i told Greg how great it sounded and he was surprised given the challenges. maybe their garage/bar band instincts kicked in and saved the day.

i'm working on a travel report for insomniacs in need of reading material, we'll see how it goes. BD is working on a great video. awesome to meet BD, Baxter and Waka-man. The Cricket was there all the way from Wisconsin too. given i do not get out much, it was an important highlight for me for a long time coming and going...
