We just saw this last week. I think it would be okay to invite the kids. It is blatantly biblical, but it is not obnoxious. I really enjoyed it very much.

I'm waiting for the videos...then I can stick my kids in the den and they can watch them whenever they want to. That way I can go into the livingroom and actually spend some quality time with me wifey!
my bad...
Sorry, I have zero tolerance for Larry and his friends...
my bad again...
(Though...I am kinda looking forward to giving the "Jonah" movie a chance...)

I found them kind of annoying at first, but they really grow on you. With my son, it usually comes down to choosing between Larry, Elmo and Blue.... and I will choose Larry there!
The movie is just great as far as kids movies go.

has anyone seen the new Christmas Veggie Tales?
Posted by skykinglvr on 11-12-2002 at08:06:
Yes, we got the new VeggieTales video, "Star of Christmas" last week for our 4 year old daughter. She's watched it about 15 times now. Cute story, though a little more complex than the average VT video. Fun to see the characters dressed up in Victorian garb. The "Musical" they're working on in the video is a riot!

I got "Star of Christmas" last week on DVD but I will not let my kids watch it until after thanksgiving...( I know, I am a "bad guy")

i'm the same way, Dale.
The day after the turkey, we race to drag out all of our ornaments and Christmas CDs, special readings, etc.

I'm a Christmas kind of guy. I started listening to my Christmas CDs a couple of weeks ago. Watched It's a Wonderful Life last night. We watch The Toy That Saved Christmas all the time. I want my kids to enjoy Christmas year-round. Makes the actual day not quite so much of a let down.
