  thanks to you all...
Just a thank you to all you kind folks who offered me tapes and CD-R copies of Ideola. I was able to secure an original copy of the CD from a gratious member of these message boards...and can't wait to hear it in all it's digital glory!
Cheers to you all...

Well if it worked for Jeffrey, does anyone else have a copy that could be parted with for a negotiated amount not to exceed my firstborn?

I do have a sealed cassette.
I also have two sealed cassettes of Chagall Guevara if anyone's interested.

Speaking of that CD.. I have had mine for years,
and I always had a problem with it playing in all
my CD players. It is almost like the quality of the CD
itself was slightly poor. Which would be odd, when I have
all the other What? releases on CD and they are fine.
I used to play my Tonio K ones all the time.
BTW.. my brother has the same CD and the same problem.

This isn't the first time I've heard this said about the CD. I've heard the same about the vinyl as well. I have a friend that has at least 3 copies on vinyl and they all have sound issues in the same spot. Weird...

I have it on tape; and its fine. What an awesome collection of songs. Truly a very underrated artist. Are any of Mark Heard's earlier albums comparable to Tribal Dance, in terms of the music? I've heard Fingerprints, Dry Bones Dance and everything after. But I haven't heard some others like "Stop the Dominoes". Anyone know if they're any good? I'd certainly bet that they are.

  Looking For Ideola CD!
Help! I'm looking for a reasonably priced cd of the IDEOLA album. Any suggestions? Anyone willing to trade? I got some cds by Steve Taylor, Chagall Guevara, and Daniel Amos I could trade for it!
