Maybe sarcasm isn't the best way to make a serious declaration. I just have a real hard time with the TBN crowd and their prosperity gospel. The Word of Faith movement that Jesse Duplantis aligns himself with is in conflict with the orthodox Christian faith. The idea that you will get what you ask for if you will just claim it in Jesus name is clearly not biblical. God is not a celestial mail-order catalog. Many people are led to believe that if they are not out of that rotten apartment and in the house of their dreams, then they must not be "right with God" so keep claiming that house in Jesus name and God will have to give it to you.

Jesus clearly appoints us to suffering. We should expect it. And if we're blessed along the way, then great, but if we lose everything for His sake and die a martyr's death, then HALLELUJAH!!!
