  Lost Dogs at Cstone 04

The guys performed a great show at Cstone.. probably one of
the best Dogs shows I've seen. They seemed to be in a particularly
good mood.. MUTT went over pretty well with the crowd as well.

We're still recovering from the fest and the trip.. probably
post some more soon. Anyone else get any pictures?
Did anyone get the set list?

RE: Lost Dogs at Cstone 04

I have digital photos, but am not sure how to post them...

Great "covers", funny dialogue and a great medley of several LD favorites at the end. I wish I could get a recording!

Wow, share more with us!

Posted by audiori on 07-05-2004 at22:15:

You can email us photos if you want them up... or
I am sure there are others here that can.... unless you can't
send them because they are too big.

We would appreciate any video or anything we can get as well,
we worked durring the show and won't get to any others I don't
think....since they are headed to canada.

Hey, audiori,
Do you know if they played the same set list as the rest of the shows on the Mutt tour? If so, check out the "My Fabulous Night With..." thread in this section (General Discussion). I have posted the set list there! Wink

Edit: We got some pictures from the Knoxville show, but haven't gotten them developed yet. If they turn out good and you want some of them, I will e-mail them to you. Just let me know! Smile

I think it was a little different... probably shorter, since they
only played about an hour. They also did "Close but no
cigar" - which I don't remember seeing on the other tour
set lists. I could be remembering wrong though.

Absolutely.. we like to stick all the pics we get up either in
the TimeLine of this site, or in the picture gallery over at the
Dogs site.

The same goes for everyone else reading this... Sometimes we
need a pic for a magazine, a release or some kind of promotional
item as well... the more we have to choose from, the better.
(Also, we will always give credit to the photographer, if it's in
our hands to do so).

BTW, they could have done that one at the Knoxville show. We could've missed writing it down since we were dealing with the 2 kiddos. At one point, he had our son in the other room and our daughter insisted she had to go to the bathroom (that was during the "Medley of Our Hit", so I had to remember what they were playing until I got back to the table ~ although, they were such foundational Dogs songs that I don't think I forgot any!) At any rate, if they did that one, it would've been done during that time. Smile

For all who are interested there is a nice clip of the Dogs on the Cornerstone Festival website. It's about a minute and a half. The quality of streaming video is really getting pretty good, too (comparing to what was available last year). They also have clips of about 25 or so other groups there.

And it sounds like the weather was pretty nice. Would've been a good year to be there (if they would've had more of our groups.......aaaarrghh!).

Oh, and MF, Derri's playing that strange looking electric on that clip. I've seen those before a few times. First time was one of the times Prince (remember him) was on TV somewhere. He was playing one. And I know there was a time I knew who made 'em but it escapes me now (senior syndrome.......).

The quality may be better than last year, and the sound of the video clip is pretty good, but what a rip-off! There was a pole going through Derri, so we couldn't even see him (and he's the one who was singing!!!!!) Mad

Roll Eyes But thanks jwaltb! It was great to hear To Cover You "live" again! Pleased

Thumb Up! Dale's Cornerstone 04 report

...well I drove over to Cstone on Sat. from Iowa
first, I set my tent up in the pasture Parking area
stratigically placed between the cow patties...

then I went & visited God-Rules from the 77sMB
& traded a few boots, it seems we wear about
the same size :-) , really nice guy Cool

I saw the Wayside - they were GooD
Beki Hemingway was Great as always! Smile
next went to the Lost Dogs news conference. Cool
interesting... very interesting... who's leonard cohen ?

through the day I met alot of new & old friends
mostly DA 77s LD fans...

I then went & spent most of my money at the
merch tent$... 3 of them! talked to audori both of them...
then meet up with SlappedHard he bought me
a Lemonade shaker! yum yum... & bread sticks...
then saw an artist I don't know? Jeff Ebel was playin bass...
then, Bill Mallonee solo it was o.k rated PG-13
next, the Lost Dogs show WoW! great show just too short...
then one of my Fav. 80's bands The Alarm WoW! it was Great!
the best show there in my opinion... Mike Peters is very CooL Cool

then went back to Iowa Sun. & did the 4th parade & Fireworks
as a bonus they had another of my Fav. 80's bands playing
before the Fireworks, the Little River Band! they are awesome!

that made this Lonsome Loser do a little Reminiscing with my
Lady, do not worry, she Took it easy on me. we were a couple of Night Owls :-)

please have DA & the 77s there next year!
hope to see everyone at Cornerstone 05

leonard Cohen-
If it be your will - off GRS...

also has written some other beautiful music (but cant sing it IMHO..)
Suzanne (from the 60s you all!)
and Broken Hallelujah (Shrek Soundtrack etc)

I think the Dogs like him- and make his music sound much sweeter.

Thx for the report!

I too have Mutt! Wink And I'll rub it in again: it's signed by all the Dogs! Tongue

And it doesn't matter how hard you try, I don't think you could get as sweaty as you would in the middle of an Illinois cornfield (in case you haven't heard, I was born and half-raised (till 8th grade) about 20-30 minutes from Bushnell, IL in Canton, spent my childhood sweatin my a$$ off in the summertime and I would know 'bout how much sweatin you would be doin there at C-stone in the middle of the summer! Crying ) Try as you may, at least maybe someone will hear the music and like it! Big Grin

BTW, I think To Cover You is the best! Pleased Cool
