I'd say the song is about "us" not DA. But that's my read on it. I had no notion of it meaning the end of DA.

I told my mom about the Pat Robertson scene (she was a big 700 club fan.) She wasn't amused. But I was!!

I'd have to disagree. "Love Grapes" is the best track off this album. It's total disco! I love it!

I've always loved Motorcycle. Listen to it reminds me of the summer after my first time living in Barcelona. My family took me to Colorado and everyone was fighting over everything. I'd just gotte Motorcycle and spent most of the week with my headphones on just listening Daniel Amos.

I like the albums because it has a real "album" feel from beginning to end. This album should not be played on shuffle.

I was driving last night with 10 Songs playing and I picked up my best friend to go have dinner. He was snapping and tapping away to the music. He really liked it on a first listen. It was nice to see that the album had more than just sentimental value but some really good music. Today, of course, it does have that retro feel. It captures the late 80s while still being ahead of its time (some of the instrumentation reminds me of the goth and light industrial music of the early 90s.)

I can't stand tonic. Nor am I a big beer fan (only on hot days when I'm in the mood.) I'm more a wine and whiskey kind of guy (but not mixed together.)

As for Vodka, there are some good ones out there. The first time I lived in Barcelona I lived next door some Estonias who brought a bottle of Vodka from their country. That was some STRONG stuff. I have some funny pictures from that evening! Smile

I ordered mine from the local christian bookstore when it was sold out of the DA webstore and they sold it to me in sale for 29.99 Wink

I have seen it around on different sites for $55.00

I think I paid $40 from the DA Webstore way back when. But well worth every penny.

Yeah, I got the Greg Lawless solo album with the Adam Again C2K CD. I wasn't too impressed it. I thought the vocal were very nasal. I'm just too married to Gene Eugene's voice.

the sound quality isn't the best -- typical cstone problems w/amps & monitors. but gene rocked da house.

love the live version of 'ain't no sunshine' (i forget which year that was).

and actually, i like the live versions of their earlier songs (the pre-dig albums) better than the studio versions, in general.

plus you get to hear gene yell, "get off the stage, you punks!" at the end of the 97 concert. Big Grin hey it was wicked funny at the time...

Where are these recording available? (And I said I'd stop spending so much on music.)

Good points, I just have bad memories of Christian friends telling me that I couldn't hang out with certain people because they drank. And after living in Europe twice, wine with dinner is as normal to me as butter on bread.

My friends all can't believe that when I go out I have a "two drink limit" and I usually only have one drink, if that. But I like my scotch on the rocks on a Friday night when I go country line dancing. It's part of my weekly ritual. I've just seen too many people get all gung ho about decisions that they've made or they've allowed a religious group to make for them and then using God and Jesus to back their decision. It's like friends of mine who are vegitarians and are out to save all the animals and make me stop eating meat. Not gonna happen.

But I have several friends who are friends of Bill W. and I'm very sensitive to their struggle. I'm not one to tell anyone they must drink, should drink, etc. I think it's a personal choice and as long as your behavoir is not harming yourself (constant drunkeness) or others (fights, reckless driving, etc.) it's all okay. I don't see it as an issue to quote Scriptures on as to whether it is okay or not okay.

Just my 2 cents.

Yup, you were still too late to stop me. Ha ha ha!

Most people are sensible enough to reconstruct the original message (especially since the topic is book sets!))

Now I feel silly. For some reason, I thought that ZD was one of the ones out of print that would be returning soon, but alas- they are Outdoor Elvis and Let's Spin.
Oh, well.

Hey, we all make mistakes. You can't go wrong with ZD, any way you get it. It's an awesome, awesome, did I say awesome? cd.

Ditto! It's a fave of mine too. And if _I_ like it, then you gotta buy it!!

I'm with you on not shuffling an album when I listen to an album alone. But I often put on 5 CDs and shuffle them all. In that case I don't mind. I'll even put a disc of MBD in with 4 others and hit shuffle. But never hit shuffle on MBD alone. That would just be wrong.

Would you have trouble putting "Personal World Favorites" on shuffle? I have an MD with "Personal Wordl Favorities," "The Berry Vest," "Best of the Dogs," and "Best of TST" all recorded (with a few off "When Worlds Collide.") I put that whole MD on shuffle and do work at coffee shops or while I'm at the gym. One of these days I'll make an MD of my favorite tracks (if I can fit them all onto one MD!)
