Ever heard of a second disc? Smile

If released, will there be any bonus tracks?

I already have double copies of Horrendous Disc, Little Red Riding Hood, the Alarma Chronicles (thanks to the book set), SOTH, and Shotgun Angel. Before I know it, I'll have 2 copies of all their CDs!!

Ok, since I started the spidey thing (or one or more of my alter egos actually...), I have made an 80 minute cd-r of MBD on 1 disk. I really only had to cut out about 6 songs, but unfontunately one was And So it goes, just for space... I did add in Nowhere is Someplace though, and took out some of the slower songs like Over Her Shoulder... Just driving around or going to sleep to, it's just much easier to have on one disk. Cool

Were you able to download "Nowhere is Someplace"? I thought it was just on streaming audio. I want to burn it to a CD also so that I have it in my collection. Any assistance?

80 Posts. I think (not certain) that you evolve at 20-post intervals. I hope to reach 100 soon (and get my star) so we'll see.

MBD is a classic. It will be very hard for them to top it. It was well worth the long wait. I remember pre-ordering it long before it came out and I still love knowing that I have PERSONALLY signed copy. They even spelled my name right (my name gets mispelled a lot.)

For me, I'd have to say I like Disc 1 better. "Author of the Story", "Beautiful Martyr" and "Joel" are the gems. On disc two I love the sarcastic flavor in the vocals on "Easy for You" and the song "Steal Away" is another gem. I've played the album for several friends and they all love it (none of my friends are into Christian music and very few of my friends are at all religious in any form of the word.)

Anyone who doesn't have this CD should get it!

Let's Spin all the way! Let's Spin intorduced to me TST and got me hooked on Daniel Amos and the rest is history. I heard "Let's Spin" and "Catch that Angel" on a local CCM music show for teens and had to find the tape. I must have listened to that tape at least 3 times a day for about 6 months. When I got a CD player it was one of the first CDs I bought. When I'm in an Eddies mood, it's Let's Spin. Then I'll put in Zoom Daddy ("Love Grapes" is just the coolest song!) I like Outdoor Elvis for "Driving in England" and my high school friends and I to this day can still recite all the words to "CoCo the Talking Guitar" (and the "Large Family" bit fom Dr. Edward Daniel.....et al.--okay, so all the Eddies stuff rocks!!)

But still I say that as an album that is consistent (with the exception of "Snowball," which is just an odd track, they should have put on the original instrumental found on Dr. Ed on Let's Spin.)

But if I had to choose one Eddies song that totally rocks, I'd have to say "Like Lazarus." That one belonged on "Zoom Daddy."

Just wondering. For those of us who ordered it, when will go out in the mail (yes, I'm very impatient!) And did Little, Big and Spittle and Phlegm go out in the mail yesterday?

Identified: WEWH: Disc 2: Track 2 07-10-2002 09:07 Forum: General Discussion

Right after WEWH hats came out I posted that I really liked the instrumental track (track 2 and the penultimate track on Disc 2.) I knew that I had heard the song before, but couldn't figure out where. The WEWH liner notes said nothing about it, but I was certain I'd heard it in a movie or TV show.

Yesterday, "The Royal Tenenbaums" came out on DVD (I have "Rushmore" and "Bottle Rocket" so I had to get this one too.) I saw RT twice in the theatre and then I watched it again last night. THERE WAS THE SONG!!! I couldn't believe it! It shows up somewhere in the middle of the movie. But in the movie the song was longer. I checked the credits, and as I assumed, Daniel Amos was not listed (but I wanted to be certain.)

So now the question is....what is that song? I'm supposing it's some classical piece or some stock type music of some sort that Daniel Amos decided to do their own little rendition of and stick on Disc 2. Does anyone know? Does anyone know what the name of that "Instrumental" song on Disc 2 is?

Any help would be appreciated.

An actual review (sort of) 07-01-2002 14:16 Forum: General Discussion

I think people are getting away from actually reviewing the album, but oh well. I've been listening to WEWH more and more and it's growing on me. I find myself wanting to listen to disc 2 more than disc 1. The slight quirkiness of disc 2 doesn't bother me as much as it did the first few listens, and the music is just growing on me. And I've said before that I most like that I can actually understand the lyrics. It's a whole new listen to the original Songs of the Heart (which I think was the original purpose.)

Okay, I just went to the Cornerstone site and read that only a 1000 copies will be re-issued. Hmmm... Is there any kind soul out there who might be able to pick me up an extra copy and I send you a check for the cost and postage and all? There's one song in particular off that album I really want on CD (not to mention the rest of the album is just great.) Any assistance would be great appreciated!!!

My personal e-mail address is kaisersanders@hotmail.com

Thanks!

General Release? 06-28-2002 09:03 Forum: General Discussion

So there's all this talk about 10 Songs being available at Cornerstone, but what about afterwards? For us people not going to Cornerstone, how can we get this album? (I have it on cassette from way back when, but I want this one on CD!!!)

Disc 2 is growing on me, I must admit. I put it in last night after a few days not listening to it (I also got "Making God Smile" which has a TST and LD track.) Last night I was starting to really appreciate the stripped down versions of the songs. I think being able to hear the lyrics on all the songs makes a big difference! Sometime on SOTH I can't understand a word (and I'm usually too lazy to look at a lyrics sheet.)

I think it was posted a few times that t-shirts would be going out after Cornerstone. They haven't arrived yet. I'd rather get WEWH right away and wait for the t-shirt rather than wait for the t-shirts to come in to get WEHW.

Now I just can't wait till "Little, Big" and the DVD come out! Ordered them both yesterday! It's a great summer to be a DA fan! Big Grin

Best Song per Album 06-21-2002 14:53 Forum: General Discussion

Okay guys (and few gals--are there any out there?)...

We've been debating the top DA albums, but let's get more specific. What's the one song from each album that you love most? You're top song from each album. Here's mine:

Daniel Amos - Skeptic's Song
Shotgun Angle - Better
Horrendous Disc - Hound of Heaven
DA Live Bootleg '82 - Love Has Open Arms
¡Alarma! - Cloak & Dagger
Doppelgänger - Hollow Man
Vox Humana - William Blake
Fearful Symmetry - The Pool
Darn Floor - Big Bite - Return of the Beat Menace
Kalhoun - Virgin Falls
Motor Cycle - Guilty
Motor Cycle Tracks - Buffalo Hills (acoustic mix)
Bibleland - She's Working Here
Songs of the Heart - When Everyone Wore Hats
Mr. Buechner's Dream - The Author of the Story
When Everyone Wore Hats - When Everyone Wore Hats (Disc II)

Let's see what others have to say....
