Is DA a band or a collective? In canada we have the phenomenon of the Collective. Groups like The Arcade Fire and The New Pornographers come to mind. As a collective they make an album or a tour based on whos availible. If they whole group cant play on a track or an album they go with whos availible. So...i know we cant have a new DA album becauce its a pain to get everyone together. But if DA is a collective then they can work with whos availible, drawing off the whole history of DA/Eddies and create a DA 'supergroup' album!!!!
Also...if you do record two albums worth of music...release them seperatly so we can get TWO new albums over two yeas!!!!

They are a band who are forced to operate as a collective.

I'd agree with that.
The Eddies, on the other hand, have pretty much always been a collective by that definition.
