I was able to secure an original copy of the CD from a gratious member of these message boards...and can't wait to hear it in all it's digital glory! I have had mine for years, and I always had a problem with it playing in all my CD players. It is almost like the quality of the CD itself was slightly poor. Which would be odd, when I have all the other What? releases on CD and they are fine. I used to play my Tonio K ones all the time. This isn't the first time I've heard this said about the CD. I've heard the same about the vinyl as well. I have a friend that has at least 3 copies on vinyl and they all have sound issues in the same spot. What an awesome collection of songs. Truly a very underrated artist. Are any of Mark Heard's earlier albums comparable to Tribal Dance, in terms of the music? I've heard Fingerprints, Dry Bones Dance and everything after. But I haven't heard some others like "Stop the Dominoes". Anyone know if they're any good? I'd certainly bet that they are.
