this board moves much faster for me. I think it's because a lot of the old threads are gone as much as the upgrade

Supposedly, this newer version of the board is faster than the old one we were using - even for dialup.

The one we had been using was the "beta" test board.. from back when the German nerds first invented it. Well, about a half a dozen different updates have been released since then - fixing various security issues and bugs. That's why we really *needed* to update asap.

In the future, we should be able to update without having to delete anything.

The history of the old board made it fun, too. Sometimes I'd go through old posts and read them, even the very earliest stuff. I put alot of thought into some of them and they became very special to me. Most of those are now gone and I lament the time I spent on this board because it all seems like vanity, a striving after wind.
