Found "The Revelation" vinyl. Buy it? |
|
I saw this at a record store and was on the fence about it. I have most of the DA vinyl discography, but since it was a bit of a pricey $15 (though good condition) I wasn't sure. I know this is a "reworking" of side 2 of Shotgun Angel with some narration, but this is the one album I think I haven't heard yet.
Go for it, to have another DA album to put on my wall?

I bought it when it came out.
I love it.
Hadn't heard it in a while when my bro got me an LP-Cd turntable converter. Still brings back the memories of that time.
I had Chuck sign it last April when he visited Corpus with Love Song.
It's one of my most treasured posessions.
For it to be really special, you had to have been listening during that time, now, probably not so much.

it is cool to hear chuck smith's unique tone and phrasing... not sure it amplifies the effect of end times surrealism beyond what we have with the music... depends on what you are after.

"Soon" alone is worth a lot more than $15 to me.

Possibly, but you can get "Soon" on iTunes for 99 cents.

hmmm. . . the artwork would look pretty neat on a wall and often you pay much more than $15 for good artwork. The music is not anything you can't get anywhere else. . . The narration adds something, but I actually enjoy listening to the tracks without the narration. . . "Soon" is a great song!

Dude, this is the Daniel Amos message board. What would you expect us to say? Thou must buy it, and keep it, and cherish it forever. It doesn't matter what it costs or what format it is in. Now, go, and sin no more.
