I haven't played the first disc yet...
Is there any difference from the last re-issue of the CD?

smilin' big - track 16 on bonus disc is from Jubal's concert at SJBC.
You may notice what appear to be some extra thumps on the bass drum - well no, that is Steve's big foot keeping time right next to the mic stand. I don't think we ever cured him of that, Lord knows we tried.
Either he figured it out later or Daniel Amos just nailed his feet to the stage.

We were thinking of certain folks when we put it on there actually...
It would have went on anyway, but..

As I am listening to this CD it takes me back to 1976. My first experience at a Calvary Chapel Saturday Night concert was the night DA released their debut album. It was still the days of the cowboy hats and Steve was still in the band. I never knew a group could be Christian and sound so good. It was my first exposure to Christian music. Tom Stipe came out and announced that the album would be on sale in the Chapel store and that night I left with my first ever Christian album. I played the grooves out of the thing. It is just great to hear "Don't Light Your Own Fire" (the live version really kicks and has the great Ed McTaggart on drums), "William", "Losers and Winners" and the matchless "Servant's Prayer". I forgot how good DA was right out of the gate. It's hard to imagine how the debut could have been better. It has aged more gracefully than any of the early/mid Maranatha stuff of the time--unlike Love Song and Mustard Seed Faith to name two. The only possible exception would be The Way. The key difference--DA IS STILL AROUND (sort of).
